Note from the Theophilus Guidance Team

The Guidance Team for Theophilus has determined, after much thought and deliberation, that the church will be dissolved. Our final public worship service was conducted on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.

While churches come and go, the Church lives on and that is a fact to be celebrated.

We hope to continue the fellowship portion of our church and for members to stay in touch. We currently have 2 online groups were you can connect: Theophilus Facebook Group & Theophilus Google Group

This is a difficult time for all of us, but please remember that the primary message of Theophilus has always been about grace, love, and acceptance. We have always accepted anyone through our doors, regardless of where they are in their journey. We pray that the founding vision of Theophilus will live on as we continue reaching out with the grace and love of God in everything that we do.

St. Patrick’s Day Fellowship Opportunity

Our good friend George Ensle (www.GeorgeEnsle.com) is coming in from Austin

to play for us this coming Sunday, March 18.  George will also be playing on Saturday night (3/17) at the JP Hops House. Our next Pub Theology gathering was scheduled for Sunday night, but since George is in town, it might be fun to move the gathering to Saturday night instead.

George’s show on Saturday night starts at 9:00 PM. So for those of you who are interested we will have a Theophilus fellowship gathering at 8:00 PM at the Hops House. That will give us a chance to enjoy some good conversation and fellowship before we listen to George’s performance. JP Hops House is located at 2317 Highway 6 South, just north of Westheimer and next to Shipley’s donuts (MAP).  (George will also be live in the studio of KPFT  90.1 FM on Saturday over the noon hour. The last time he was in town he was kind enough to put in a plug for Theophilus on the air!)

It would be a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together and also show some support for a musican who has been a real friend to the ministry of Theophilus.  Hope to see you there!
